It is a plate for mounting a divorced style choke on a Quadrajet carb.

Thanks. There is a lever on the passenger side of my holley that just nicks that thing and causes the holley to lift up. May have to break down and get a spacer. Unless I can remove it.

Yellow aren't the EGR valve and the choke tubes mounted in the same place?

They may be.....
I have an Edelbrock manifold like his, #2101, and that is what it said the plate was for.....i had my choke hooked up to it when i had a quadrajunk still on the truck.

You can trim the part that gets in your way it is solid aluminum, at least mine was. You can probobly buy/make a flat one just as easy. It is the passage that exhaust flows through the manifold.

Yup, if the intake had an EGR valve port (and it does not) it would be aft of that.

Think about it, a big EGR valve there would completely be in the way of the carb.

Those block off plates are thick enough, just take your grinder and clearance it as needed.

Thats exactly what it is AND you remove it to use the hot air choke that was on quadrajets around 75. Cut it, grind it, or make a flat plate
