Legendary Vette / Eagle Ventures / Hickey style Hood
I came across and picked up this Eagle Ventures style hood over the weekend. These have always peaked my interest and I was surprised to see one show up in Marketplace locally. There was only one picture in the add, so I researched them before I went to see it in person.
I was disappointed when i flipped it over and the Eagle Ventures logo and supports were missing from the underside. I figured it was an Autofab version, but it's not that either. The sticker is showing it was made by a company called The Legendary Vette Inc. Nothing comes up for that name here on the 67-72 board, and very little comes up in Google. It looks like they closed several years ago and were a Pennsylvania based company. The hood looks very similar to the Eagle Ventures version minus the under hood structure. It does have threaded inserts for the hinges and the hood catch. Anyhow, I thought I'd share my score and see if anyone else had ever seen or heard of this version being made.

Interesting, never heard of LV before - but this is a very cool piece no matter who made it - congrats on a great find! Any plans for it? I picture it on a 4x4 with a winch the size of a VW.

Nice find, I've been watching for one too. Don't forget to show us pics once it's installed.

I'll probably hang it on the wall for now and either keep it for a future project or sell it to someone who wants it more than me!.

I may be missing something, or have a way different opinion, but to me those things are compound ugly on a truck.

I've seen them mounted on a truck not good looking in my opinion but beauty is in the eye of the beholder.

Cool find and cool piece of truck history. Would be cool hanging on the wall in the garage if not on a truck. Don't let those other guys "sh*t in your cheerios". Some people may find MGB's Honda's and Avanti's as being ugly.

Re: Legendary Vette / Eagle Ventures / Hickey style Hood
To most of us that grew up looking at these trucks..we are too used to seeing the stock hoods and that's engraved in the brain.
Here are are some pics I stole from the web and I can see the appreciation for them, but my fisrt thought when I saw the yellow one was "Toyota". Anyhow pretty cool for a tricked out mod! I'd definately hang it on the wall if I had room...I'm too accustomed to the slant and blumt nose.
