3-on-the-tree trans synchronized?
Does anyone know what year they started synchronizing 3-speed transmissions? Working on a 1966.

Digging a bit more, main case says 3743368. Trans probably not original to truck. Hard finding reliable info but Google says 1958-1963 and might be a Corvette trans. Part of date code is obliterated but looks like K259 so 11/25/1959? I guess not synchro given the year.. Here's a pic:

It’s a non synchro Muncie sm318.
They were stock until 68. |

The smaller, four-bolt-cover transmissions (as pictured above) are non-synchro on 1st, synchronized on 2nd and 3rd.
The later/larger 3-speed with seven-bolt side cover is fully synchronized. |
