Factory fuel tank carpet
I am in the process of fixing the rust in the cab of my 1972 Sierra Grande. The fuel tank is covered in a blue carpet that kind of looks like the old indoor/outdoor. It has the same white foam material that was under the sound deadening on the cab floor so I'm thinking this might be stock. It's intact but a little dirty. Is this factory and do the make replacements? I'd post a pic but the site says I have a security issue with pics from my phone.

That error means your picture is too large to post on the board. It has to be resized to a smaller size before the board can accept it.
I don't know if the carpet ones were factory ever or not. I have only seen cardboard my self. All the carpet ones I have seen were aftermarket.

More info than you'll probably need in this thread.

Re: Factory fuel tank carpet
Thanks. My pickup has always been a bench. What I have is a pretty well made amateur effort. Either for sound deadening or some other reason.
