Source for 60-63 Heater Knob Metal Clips
Have searched but had no luck - does anyone know if you can buy the metal clips to fit the 60-63 heater knobs to the levers?
I've got a set of new knobs here but no clips - hoping you can get them separately but would buy another set of knobs if that's the only way to go.. Any help appreciated!

Re: Source for 60-63 Heater Knob Metal Clips
I'll have to look more closely at the knobs in my truck, but I thought I didn't notice any clips on it. I thought it was just the plastic that pushed on to the arm. I'll double check though

I couldn't find any either but that was awhile back a few years. Post up if you find any.

Re: Source for 60-63 Heater Knob Metal Clips
I just popped two of the knobs off my truck. The plastic knob just slips over the metal lever. Kinda like a press fit almost

Re: Source for 60-63 Heater Knob Metal Clips
The original early type knobs (60-61 and possibly later) did use metal clips inserted into the knobs. They pushed on to the early type levers which were flat on the end. The later type knobs had no clips and were used with the later type
levers which had little tangs on the end to hold the knobs on. |

Sorry, to answer UK62LW's question, I don't know of a source for the clips except finding used ones.

What I did was use window silicone, this way you can pull them off if needed. After I changed to the new steel levers, I stood the unit up verticle and fixed the knobs. I let dry for a few days and they work well.
