Need help with choosing ls swap kit
Guys I just bought a 6.2 L94 to put in my 68. I’m not doing the work myself but I’m trying to go ahead and order most of the parts needed before my builder starts the swap in a few weeks. I’m looking for a complete kit for the swap and considering this one. http://stores.lsxeverything.com/63-7...roduct-reviews. Will this work and have everything needed? Any others I should consider? The motor was a complete pullout with all accessories. What else will I need? I’m assuming a radiator and I’m ordering a custom engine control kit next week. My truck has a new radiator in it but Im assuming I’ll need a different one for this motor?

Re: Need help with choosing ls swap kit
never heard of them...that's a pretty steep price for parts...and doesn't include headers

Re: Need help with choosing ls swap kit
I’d go hooker/Holley. There’s a thread here about it. Everything mounts up nice per the photos.

This is the Holley thread, lots of good info on their released products.

Re: Need help with choosing ls swap kit
I see you posted in the main forum for more feedback. There's a lot to consider when doing a swap. It can be a little overwhelming the first time.
I have put an LQ4/4L80e in my 2wd C2500 and am starting a 5.3/4L60e swap in my 70 Malibu. I'd be happy to share my experiences with you if you want to dm me your number. |

Re: Need help with choosing ls swap kit
There are number of kits out there but having looked at (not used) the Holley kit it seems to be very well thought out. They have a very good thread on this forum. I like the way they moved the oil pan down close to the frame cross member to reduce the drive line angle. If your fab skills are limited the Holley kit looks like a good choice. If you have good fab skills and more time than money put the LS in place, fab some engine and trans mounts. Not rocket science. Speed Engineering headers long or mid-length. I would buy the ecm and harness from one of suppliers so if there is an issue you one place to call for help.
