Blower motor cooling vent replacement
I have a factory AC truck, but after reviewing the forum and general internet it looks like someone has put a non ac blower motor on it and removed the associated cooling tube and elbow mount.
Autozone sell a vented blower motor part # 35587 for $24. Does anyone know where to get a replacement rubber vent tube and the elbow mount for a 68 c10? Thanks. |

Re: Blower motor cooling vent replacement
I've not seen that part available. Your best bet might be to try the for sale section classifieds. Member "Specialty retail" parts these trucks out and has many listings there and just might have that item. If you don't see one listed send him a private message and ask. Fred is a good guy and reasonable.

Re: Blower motor cooling vent replacement
G'ma's 68, I have the plastic elbow mount, PN# 3013476 complete with the mounting screw. Pulled from a '70 3/4 ton with factory A/C. Not sure if I have the rubber vent tube. Will look later today and get back with you.

Re: Blower motor cooling vent replacement
Ironhorse, I’d appreciate being able to get the plastic mount. I can probably improvise the hose if you didn’t find an original.
Let me know how you want reimbursed. Thanks. |

Re: Blower motor cooling vent replacement
Have been unable to find the original rubber vent tube but do have the plastic elbow. PM me your shipping info and I will get it in the mail to you later today or tomorrow. My '71 4x4 is a plain Jane without factory A/C, this came from a truck I pulled some parts for my rebuild. Yours as a freebie, glad to help you out.

Re: Blower motor cooling vent replacement
Have both the angle and rubber hose. The hose is weathered as it has been sitting outside. I would see if there is a product available to bring a little life back to the rubber. Not sure how quick I can mail it. I'm sheltered in place right now. PM me with address is interested.
