shifter cable
trying to find a shifter cable to use on my 460E to column shift. My 460e came out of a 2001 Firebird. The cable is to short. Mine has eyes on both ends. I bought a trailblazer cable and it is the correct length just the end is different and the throw was to long for my bracket. so I went to operating on it to make it work and it died. LOL the joys of a trans plant. Anyone have a solution? Thanks

Re: shifter cable
What are you putting it in? I used the stock automatic trans linkage on my 71 I just bought the c shaped side off a turbo 350 and it worked

Re: shifter cable
Swap the lever off of your old trans onto the new one and use a standard shift cable....
Try a used auto parts place for a used cable...they are stupid prices new...
