1972 K15 Sierra or Sierra Grande?
Looked through existing threads and didn't find a definitive answer so starting a new thread.
I've got bought this 1972 K15 that is completely original other than replacement parts and crappy paint job from a fender bender, wheels, radio and seat cover. It has the Z84 Sierra Grande Equip option on the glove box door and seems to have all of the right things on the inside sans woodgrain trim on the bezel/glove box and the Sierra Grande emblem on the glove box. On the outside it has the woodgrain lower molding and woodgrain tailgate band, but no upper molding and a Sierra emblem. So, is this is custom Sierra with a few extras or a Sierra Grande that the original owner saved a few $$ by opting out of a few of the options that got tagged as a Sierra? Let the discussion begin! |

Z84 is Sierra and YE9 is Sierra Grande. Mine says Sierra Grande on the SPID and is a Freemont truck, too.

It is a nice one. Another example of a supposedly Chevy-only color on a GMC. I think I have see examples of exceptions in every color. I've never seen a Terrace Blue Chevy, though

I don't know if he ever saw the answer to his question.
It looks like it has a luverne step bumper. I sure like the truck... sharp.
