Anyone remove and reapply door panel vinyl?

The door panels on my 71 arent torn but look like crap in places from lifting from the metal panel underneath. Has anyone, or is there a thread where someone has carefully removed the vinyl, cleaned everything up underneath and reapplied the vinyl?

So weird, no one has taken the vinyl off a door panel and reapplied? I guess I better take pictures when I do it, unless of course I screw it up =)

I've done it. I just didn't take any pictures.

When I had the vinyl off, I de-rusted, primed, and painted the metal panels. Then I used 3M Super 77 glue and a whole bleep ton of those black, metal paperclips to hold the edges on the back while the glue dried. I think some people call them binder clips.
