Parking Brake cable bracket
Man I am so frustrated I need one part I am missing to get my parking brake functioning so that I can get my state inspection. The only place I have found it for sale is Classic Truck parts and the damn thing is on backorder.
This the bracket the bolts to the bottom of the column and holds the outer sleeve of the front parking brake cable outer sleeve so that you can pull the cable tension. Anyone no any other vendors that sell it? LMC and Truckandcarshop don't have it. https://www.classicparts.com/1960-68...ctinfo/71-758/ So close to being roadworthy. 1964 Chevy C10 by bjohnson388, on Flickr Bret

Re: Parking Brake cable bracket
Have you tried finding someone who is parting a truck in your area?
Or do what The Marines do..... improvise A piece of flat bar hammered over a bolt to form the loop.. a drill for the bolt hole and dremel or hack saw to shape the tab, local hardware for the clevis pin cotter pin and bolt and nut. You can do it does not have to be pretty just good enough to help you pass inspection. If you cant fabricate it Im sure you can find a local shop to make you one. or.... https://www.ebay.com/itm/Key-Parts-0...8AAOSw~mRevwk4 nice truck !!

Re: Parking Brake cable bracket
That seems like a part that isn’t commonly removed from a parts truck. I’d be calling some yards nearby.

Re: Parking Brake cable bracket
Thanks guys for the response. I ordered from Ecklers. I tried a Macgyver rig up but the force applied to the cable kept pulling it out of my homemade bracket right at the top of the pull. Maybe next week I can get her inspected and registered finally. It's been 8 years coming. The wife is very excited to drive her truck. (Legally)
