Dropping a burban questions
I want to drop my 77 suburban . I know the front spindles are the same but I'm having issue with the rear. The only drops I'm finding is 2 inch shackles. Really looking to go with 3 front and 4 in the rear . With the c10 truck 4 inch kit fit the burban?
Was looking at something like this https://www.suspensionsuperstore.com...t-ks331134-ns/ I have been told that a flip and then using 4x4 shackles can get me close but I really dont want to go that route. Or do I just buy the 2 inch shackles and just remove some leafs . Mine has the 6 leaf pack.

Quote:
For 4" rear drop, shackles & hangers will get you there. I don't know if the hangers are different though. While removing leafs will allow more drop, it will also change the final spring rate & possibly be too much of a change for the suspension to get its job done. Nothing wrong w/giving it a try but be prepared to possibly do things over. The flip kit will typically yield 6" of drop on a truck w/more than 5 leafs. The shorter 4x4 shackle would give some lift back.

Re: Dropping a burban questions
Thanks I'm looking at leafs from performance online. They have 2,3 and 4 inch drop leaf springs. But they are closed untill Monday seems they are moving to new facility .

Re: Dropping a burban questions
While I won't discourage you, I will recommend being diligent about seeking info/specs from any source so you know you're not getting shanked. If the sales guy doesn't know the numbers, he can't know if your Burb will drop more/less than what you desire.
