Hi Folks,

Those are pretty generic mounts used on numerous styles of aftermarket mirrors. I have a set of Coronado SS West Coast mirrors that use ones like you have shown.

My truck is a mutt, so not a great reference for authentic parts. Here are photos of what my mirrors are. The mounts look very similar to yours. They are all stainless including hardware. Each mirror back has a different logo. The left side has a DP logo and the right side has a FoMoCo logo.

GM never offered anything but painted Jr West Coasts/RV Jrs. The angle brackets were like GerhardH's upper one and Chuck A's

Hey Jack, any good old fashion hardware store should stock stainless steel acorn nuts. Find yourself one of those 100 year old shops with the wood floors that creak and the guys working there each have 40 years as employees. They will be curious about what your working on and may try to tell you how to do it better, but the experience is good for the sole.

Good luck & I’ll see you around the camp!

Can you post a full size photo of your truck? I would like to see how those mirrors look. I have a set I'm thinking of putting on my K20. I plan to have them re-chromed, possibly.

Here you go. Like I said, "It's a bit of a mutt", but loved never the less.

Note: I store my truck on it's side to save space.

Re: Help with mirror brackets (Westcoast Junior, Ford?)

What a beautiful truck.

Thanks guys for your answers. A little bit more clear.

Special-K mentioned that the original GM has two brackets like my upper one, means I have a after market one, but it is possible to use the original GM brackets in the same wholes in the door?

54 blackhornet, maybe you can also give us some detailled pictures from your Coronado?

For me is difficult to complete the system, because if Im looking for original GM than I must know exactly the dimension.

Abbreviation for Ford Motor Company. "FoMoCo" . Looks like the Ford Camper Mirror.

Those appear to have the same bottom bracket as yours. Those are possibly Roberk brand

Re: Help with mirror brackets (Westcoast Junior, Ford?)

I have similar FoMoCo mirrors, although they have shorter arms. The PO also gave me a spare set with much longer arms, so I took all the best parts, replaced all the hardware with stainless, and had new glass cut. They cleaned up pretty well and I like them. The spare does get in the way though

Just remember to always keep the Passenger Side down, or the gas will leak out the gas cap on the Driver's side. Also keep your Blinker Fluid jar lid on tight.

Nice little Orange Stepside. I too like the WC jr mirrors. Mine are listed on the SPID. The white paint has burned off of mine, though.
Before radar detectors, you could see the Highway Patrol coming 3 miles back.
Think about mounting a 6'' round wide-angle mirror on the drivers side mirror frame to kill that blind spot.

Hi Gerhard, I was preoccupied by having to R&R the battery, external voltage regulator [RVR] and alternator on both of my trucks. Just as I had the Orange Stepside almost ready, the '71 Jimmy did the same thing. I still have to exchange the ALT on the GMC.

[They're like spoiled little girls. <<Well, you bought HER a new Batt and EVR, so I won't start until you buy me some, too.>>]

Since my mechanic didn't show up this morning [hung over from a Colorado River Toad party] I thought I'd measure my West Coast Jr Mirror brackets.
Upper Bracket, [bolt center to center] = 2''
Lower Bracket , [''] = 2-1/4''
Distance of Arm upper to lower = 19''.

This is a GM-supplied swing arm RV, Jr mirror. It's listed on the SPID as an option. Painted white. I repainted them in 1977, possibly again later, but honestly don't remember. Burned off mostly now. It's a work truck, not a toy.
I bought this truck in 1973.
