Who has bent a rear bumper back in place?
Any suggestions on how to bend our bumpers? Good old American made bumpers! The guy that loaded up my c10 snagged something and bent the driver rear side. No luck with hand tools..haha I tried using a jack but that just lifts the rear end.
Wondering if its best to remove it and try using other methods. Open to suggestions.

That's going to take some work. I would take it off and if you have a frame shop close take it to them and see if they would straighten for you. Not really something you can do at home.

I can take anything apart, putting it back is the hard part...hopefully your mounts aren't bent too.

I had a bumper similar to that on a 64 that was bent. It was made of heavy metal so I had to cut a lot of the welds, bend back into shape, then re-weld.

You could take the truck to a body shop and let them do their thing. They have floor tie downs and or a frame machine where they can apply a little heat and twist/pull that thing right back into shape all while maintaining much of that patina. Doesn't look like it will take much.

Re: Who has bent a rear bumper back in place?
I had a truck bumper with pretty much exactly the same damage on it as yours. With the bumper still mounted on the truck, I welded a 10 foot piece of pipe to the end of the bumper and twisted it back by hand. Cut the pipe off, smooth the area with a grinder, a little paint, done. It was not a restoration quality repair, but looked straight unless you really scrutinized it.

I found a concrete light pole and backed into it (gently) until it went back into position
