Dust Shield Question

OK folks, I got a conundrum. I am putting the front end back together and am almost to the point of needing dust shields. I have this set of '73 spindles with these factory dust shields I could pull, clean up and use or I could pop $50 for a set of new repops.

What are the thoughts here? These have two "slots" for lack of a better term but most I see repop are solid.

Thumbs up Re: Dust Shield Question

If they will work use them. Save the $50.00 for something you don't have. If the 73 will fit clean them up and install, they will never be seen so don't go to a bunch of trouble on them. Well unless your going for show instead of go!

Get out and drive the truck this summer and have some fun!
It sucks not being able to hear!

LWB trucks rule, if you don't think so measure your SWB!
After talking to tech support at Air Lift I have found out that the kit I need is 60811. Per the measurements I gave them. Ride height of truck inside spring and inside diameter of springs.

Re: Dust Shield Question

Right now I am working on the woah! before the go! Thirty plus years ago it would have been the other way around.

This truck is a budget build. Not a daily driver but definitely will be driver quality all the way. I think I'll clean them up and see how they fit. Worst case is I'll stick them back on the 73 spindles and hold onto it all.

Here is my current state of things:

Original and in good shape?

Clean them up and paint to match your frame and control arms.

If anybody ever does bother to notice them, they'll still have plenty of "woah".
