I must be crazy

I bought my 70 GMC in 2011. Been working on it ever since.(am in the process of a 6.0 ls swap). My brother, who has been helping me, bought a 1967 GMC over the weekend, His has a 350 crate,4 bolt main and a rebuilt th400. Runs good. I think that the previous owner was of the younger generation. I think that he tried work on it but the truck got the best of him. There is so much done wrong on it that it will take us a while to straighten it out. I guess it's a good thing that I'm retired. It's also a true short wheel base truck and looks ok. Besides I don't think anybody that has these trucks can leave them alone as is.

Re: I must be crazy

It's totally normal. I have absolutely no idea why you think you are crazy.

Re: I must be crazy

So many ppl of any generation should not twist wrench or fix auto wiring
If one does not have good mechanical skills best to pay someone who does
I learned as a young fella make my work look as much as factory as possible you will have less issues with it on the road and be 20 and pop the hood show someone what you did to make a newer si altenator work in your old truck and have it look stock
Or make new rear brake lines follow axle like oem would less likley be ripped off 4x4 in the back country
