Booster or no booster
What’s up guys.. I need some tech advice here. I’m at the point wether to go with a booster or just running manual brakes. I’m running a big brake kit from Baer all around on my 67 with a Baer remaster MC. I’ve seen lots of builds running big performance setups and not using a booster. Need some help from here .. thanks

Re: Booster or no booster
It's all about the effort of driving your comfortable with.
You could try no booster, and switch if you don't like it. Or even try a small booster which I have been told is a little over1/2 way between the too. |

Re: Booster or no booster
I run manual brakes on my 67 Nova. Calipers (C5) and the proper sized master and it worked well. As said above just how much you want to press on the pedal. I did the manual brakes because the cam was somewhat big and I didn't have enough engine vacuum.

Re: Booster or no booster
If I were to do it again, I'd invest in a hydroboost system.

Re: Booster or no booster
I’m cleaning up my fire wall and on the fence wether to mount the booster directly to the fire wall or go with Capt fabs shorter bracket. Once it’s painted. I can’t really go back in there to mod the booster mount ..

Re: Booster or no booster
Personal preference. My nova came without manual brakes, and I kept it manual brakes when I converted to discs. Its part of the cars personality. (Manual brakes & Manual steering) and when I was still daily driving it I never found it to be a hinderance to be full manual.

Re: Booster or no booster
I did hydro boosts on a couple of projects. Bought them from Paul at Hydra Tech. Worked very well. Some guys are buying them out the junk yard and making them fit. I would got with the Captain Fab booster bracket if you go power. I used one it worked great. I'm running a C5 booster. Here's a pic.
