Help Me Identify This PS Pump Please!
I have been cleaning out the garage for a move, and I have found a bunch of stuff I will be selling in the near future. This was mixed in with 67-72 truck parts, but I believe it is 73-up truck. Please note the 3 ports on the back of the pump, which I believe would be for hydro-boost.
Thoughts? Opinions? Thanks in advance!!! BBB |

Re: Help Me Identify This PS Pump Please!
Those are for the BB engines, 454 and such. I have seen them on 71/72 trucks not sure if they where stock though. I'd love to have one on my SB truck for the easyness of filling it up.

Base on Rockauto, it's 1980-1991 1 ton square bodies with 454.
6.2 diesels had one of the lines on the side so it's not for it. |

Re: Help Me Identify This PS Pump Please!
Thank you both. I knew it was BBC, and I thought it was for hydroboost.

Re: Help Me Identify This PS Pump Please!
The pump is for hydro boost. Like you said because it has 3 ports on the back instead of 2 ports.

I think it maybe from a mid 80's van. It has the metal remote reservoir and V belt pulleys. I only remember seeing the remote reservoir on vans.

Re: Help Me Identify This PS Pump Please!
Big block hydroboost truck. The remote reservoir is great. I have an '83 big block C2500 with vac brakes and it has the integral reservoir which SUX. I lays the pump body over 45 degrees and makes adding fluid a PITA. The remote on my other trucks (including the 71 GMC 402!) is great. I even bough a repro to use on the big block swap into my 64 'vette.
