Re: 2001 Silverado dash wiring pinout help
Also asked Brandon Lt1 swap.com...he said they all go to splice pack #2 OBD port. I will probably tap that and hope for the best.

Re: 2001 Silverado dash wiring pinout help
The VSS does splice off into several other modules, but you probably don't have any of those, so it would go from the PCM, C2 pin 50 to the instrument cluster on pin A3.
The pin A4 is an ignition "hot" wire, has 12v when ever the ignition is on. The A5 wire gets hooked to the data link connector wire, the purple wire in pin 2. Hope this helps

Re: 2001 Silverado dash wiring pinout help
Sorry, I guess I should have said to hook it to the dark green wire coming out of the PCM at C1-58. You would splice it in between the data connector and the PCM. All the serial data wires coming from the various modules go to a splice pack and are different colors. I was assuming you were using the data connector out of the '01 Silverado, which has an orange power, two black grounds and uses a purple wire as the data wire, but different vehicles may use different colors.
