Roller out of door sash channel 1959
Last year the drivers side window became hard to roll up. I needed to assist it with my second hand while cranking the handle.
I removed the trim panel from the door today and found out that the front roller is not in the sash upper channel. Should this roller has a bushing on it? Has something broken to allow it out of the channel? Any suggestions on getting the roller back into the channel?

Re: Roller out of door sash channel 1959
Wondering if it is possible to hold the glass in the upper position, remove both screws holding the sash channel in. Then get the roller back in place and then reinstall the screws in the channel?

I'm thinking that NorthernGMC gave the solution that you are going to have to use.
That roller looks pretty well worn and should be replaced though. They aren't expensive but you have to stake the rivet that they ride on when you install them.

Re: Roller out of door sash channel 1959
It worked! Bonus was I don’t drop the screws inside the door.
I swear just typing out my problem on this site makes me stop and think about the problem.
