Door alignment question
Can anyone tell me what i need to do to get this door aligned better? It hits on the top.left and catches the fender down low when you open it.

Re: Door alignment question
Is the door aftermarket? I think the window frame needs to be moved.

Re: Door alignment question
Maybe you need to move the bottom of the fender forward to make more room for your door.

Re: Door alignment question
definitely an OEM door. I think the fender is as far forward as possible.

Re: Door alignment question
Ha, the cab is in sad shape, so yeah, that could definitely be part of the problem that i hadnt thought of.

Re: Door alignment question
First, you gotta get the cab mount "footings" squared away.. Maybe the floor also.. They're channel shaped and bad about collecting dirt and moisture and rotting out. Replace the rubber cushions and related hardware. If the cab doesn't sit right, you'll probably never get the fenders to fit right. You should also replace the rubber mounts on the core support.. Then align the door in the opening.. Last is the fender.. You don't move the door to align with the fender.. It's just the opposite.. Align the door to the cab and then align the fender to the door..

Re: Door alignment question
Ok, turns out out the core support is completely rotten, as in the mount on the passenger side is rotten though. The mount is doing nothing. Obviously, if that were as it should be, the core support would sit about 1/2 to 3/4 of an inch higher, thus separating the fender from the door on the lower front of the door.
