Would you be willing to cut out the tranny hump and ship? Thanks

Re: 66 C10 Longbed Parting Out
It's the short low hump for 3 speed manual. Let me get a pic of it and identify the cut lines before you decide.

Re: 66 C10 Longbed Parting Out
Any rust through on the rear corners of the inner roof panel? That almost triangle looking spot where the inner roof meets the inner back wall and upper door frame.
If you're willing to cut a section out and ship to 30188, I can get a picture of what I need

Re: 66 C10 Longbed Parting Out
That area is rust free except for the outer surface rust. Post up that pic of the section you need cut out.
It may take me a couple days to get to it due to the rain and mud where it's parked. |

Re: 66 C10 Longbed Parting Out
The main need is the passenger corner, but I could also use some extra from the passenger side to help repair a couple spots on the driver's side. The driver's side corner looks ok to me.
I'm thinking it only needs to go about 6 to 8 inches above the door frame line. I think I might also need a little bit from the passenger corner on the inner back window panel (right under the coat hook) Thanks!

Got it. I'll take some pics of my inner cab with lines drawn along the proposed cut lines for your approval.

Re: 66 C10 Longbed Parting Out
No problem. I got a pic this afternoon. Not a great pic but the hump was well preserved by the sound deadner.
Can you provide some measurements so I will know where to cut? EDIT: You know that you can buy that part new from LMC for $145 . After cutting mine out it will only be about $30 less and shipping is gonna be about $25 - $30 Last edited by dream66; 07-13-2021 at 03:34 PM. |

Re: 66 C10 Longbed Parting Out
That line looks good to me. You can cut the front section right before it starts to curve downwards close to the windshield. My truck is a 63, so that front corner is different
What's your price shipped to 30188?

Re: 66 C10 Longbed Parting Out
I'll take just the passenger side as that's the one that really needs help on the corner, and then I can use the rest to fix the spot that's more towards the front on the driver's side.
Do you prefer a money order or PayPal?

Re: 66 C10 Longbed Parting Out
What year is yours? Mine does not have that recessed channel below your rust through area.
And the contour appears to have more of a curved radius than mine which is rectangular. |

Re: 66 C10 Longbed Parting Out
I have a suggestion if I may: Seems to me that a piece of 16 gauge mild steel could be fabricated to weld in to the area where you cut the rust out.
I don't want to sell you a piece of a part that doesn't fit. |
