Stock dash use?
I'm ready to wire up some gauges on my big window http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/s...d.php?t=820010 and have some questions on using the stock dash and gauges. I know not to use the ammeter and I will use the oil pressure but wonder about the temp gauge and fuel level. I got a fuel sender from TANKS that may or not be compatible. The temp sender came stock with the "rat" motor and is also in question. Any help much appreciated, Bob

Re: Stock dash use?
wire em up on the bench and flip the tank level sender around to see if it moves how you want. same with the PSI, hook it to the air compressor with a regulator and see if she reads.

Re: Stock dash use?
I ended up cutting up some 2" gauges and using the guts in my stock cluster. I wanted all the gauges in my stock dash to be functional. I kept the stock fuel gauge but replaced the temp, ammeter ( converted to volt meter ) and Oil pressure. I'm running a Tanks gas tank as well. I ordered the 0-30 ohm sender to match the stock fuel gauge.
