Column Shift Questions
Hello all. I am swapping a 4L80E into my 82 K2500 that currently has an SM465. Regarding the shifter, does anyone know if columns from trucks that had a 700r4 are different than ones with a TH350/400? I'm trying to avoid as many potential snags as I can so I can get the swap done as quickly as possible, and since I have to buy a column I'd rather buy the right one if there's a difference between the two.

Re: Column Shift Questions
The column is the same for the TH700, TH400, TH375, TH350, TH200, & Powerglide.
You can change the indicator in the bottom of the cluster. The indicator needle is run with a cable on the column collar. Some of the 4L80E used a shift cable.
