****a Little Help Please**** A/c Belt Question

INSTALLING SANDEN A/C COMP. ON MY 350
WHICH GROOVE DOES THE BELT RIDE IN?????ON CRANK!!!!!

ALSO HOW MANY GROOVES ARE ON A A/C CRANK PULLY????

A customer's '80 350 pu. is in my shop now with an add-on Sanden compressor on the driver's side. It has a 3-groove crank pulley. A/C on the forward groove, alt. in the middle, p/s on the rear. The compressor has a 2-groove & only uses the forward one.

Are you sure it goes to the crank, not the water pump pulley? I have a '72 3/4 ton without A/C and I have an empty grove on the waterpump pulley for A/C(I'm assuming).

Sanden compressor, Alan Grove bracket, short waterpump, factory A/C pullies,........... power steering is in front, A/C is in the middle, alternator in the rear
