Radiator overflow tank cap
My truck: 70 C-10
Is there a vendor that sells a replacement cap for my Radiator Overflow tank? The original was Blue. It kinda disintegrated lasts summer I’ve looked in every catalog I have, and even on vendor sites, but have not been able to find one. Thanks |

Re: Radiator overflow tank cap
Pics, or knowing what unit you have, would help

Re: Radiator overflow tank cap
I can get a pic tomorrow, but I can tell you the cap was a “lighter Blue”, with the tank being a semi opaque white, and the tank was mounted to the passenger side fender well. I’ve since moved it under the battery to “clean up” the engine bay

Re: Radiator overflow tank cap
As far as I know, these trucks didn't come with a radiator overflow tank. Unless it was an option, or you have an aftermarket tank. I've owned many 67-72's and none of them had a factory overflow tank.

Edit: sorry, I missed the "option" portion of your comment. Got too excited about one of the only options my truck had being a rare one.

Re: Radiator overflow tank cap
Here’s a pic of the top of my overflow tank.
The opening is 2 1/4 inches across, and used to have a light blue blue cap. It could be that the tank was added some time before I got the truck |

Re: Radiator overflow tank cap
Hard to tell from the picture. Could be the optional rad overflow tank or someone put in another washer fluid tank for an overflow with a different cap. Mine has the tank on the driver side radiator with a hose run to the passenger side of the rad. This option had a specific radiator cap as well. The overflow tank has an opaque cap that matches the tank.
