L83 wiring harness

I am leaning heavily towards a L83 swap with my 4L80e.

As I look around for the deal I sometimes see them offered as a swap kit. So as I decide how much I am willing to spend along with avoiding doing work in the truck once running.

So hypothetically if I was to use the L83/6L80e combo. Does the wiring harness need to be paired back or is that only done for cosmetic or routing reasons?

I know the computer needs to be unlocked, and Vats an such removed.

Re: L83 wiring harness

Trimmed back or unneeded things removed that do not pertain to the function of the swap.

Re: L83 wiring harness

Same as LS swap, remove unnecessary wires or cut them off. As far as routing the main trunk of harness to the rear wont happen unless you eother extend all the driver side harness or make a new drover side harness.
When i convert the harness to standalone i charge 250 and its new wire, not lengthened.
