i need to find an electric fan for my new engine

Im running a dual fan off of a dodge intrepid on my S10 and it's awesome i have one fan that runs off a H2o thermister for the engine and the other comes on when i run the A/C.

I know this set up will work on a f/s and i'll probably get another on for the '87 and set it up the same way.

Best of all it was only 50 bux from the junkyard and that included the wireing harness too.

I have a dual fan setup out of a 96 f@rd Windstar. It was an easy install and looks very nice. They are in my 69 Chevelle but the radiator in my 83 Chevy shorty is about the same size so I was going to use the same setup. It cools the smallblock 350 great even while sitting. Here is where I got the idea at this link, shows you how and what it looks like.
Plus I got the fans at the local junkyard for $20.00 plus I had to buy a Painless wiring fan kit from Summit. Plus you will need to upgrade your alternator. This is a shot of another guys car with the setup in it.

If you don't need a "kit" and can do a little fabrication, you can save a lot of money. Check with your local A/C supply company. They sell the same 12v fans for a lot less money...

Hayden or Imperial universal electric fans from O'Rilley's or Auto Zone. Same fans but lifetime warranty. Can't beat them. Dave and I both have some.

That's the same fan 74 Pumpkin is trying to sell, a matter of fact it is his auction. It's a good fan. It's also know as a Hayden. Don't you want 2 fans? If you buy this one, it's $62 or more depending on the final auction price, which you can buy a new one for $79 which includes a lifetime warranty, which I don't think you'll get if you buy it off Ebay

The reason it was taken out of the truck was it could not cool the engine down well enough in high heat conditions. ( Over 100 F ) while in traffic. So if you go into this type of conditions you might want to go to a two fan setup. Just somthing to think about.

Eric you want two fans for sure. I got mine setup staggered and fit perfect on mine. If you go with 1 then you better have a big fan size in mind.
