70 from Arkansas
Hey guys just wanted to stop in and say hi. Been reading on this site for a while but finally decided to make an account and share my project. Saved this 70 shortbed last fall from the hills of Northern Arkansas. Needs a lot of love before it's road worthy again so I'm sure I'll have plenty of questions for everyone! Had pretty severe rust in drivers side floor pan, rockers and cab corners and mild rust in the same areas of the passenger side. Did a full floor pan replacement already and now working on rockers and cab corners.

Re: 70 from Arkansas
Welcome! Was that a prior project that stalled out before you rescued it, or was it a parts truck for someone else that wasn't too far gone to save?

Re: 70 from Arkansas
I believe it was a prior project that stalled out. The guy had a ton of parts to go with it including several original doors, fenders, glass, etc. It was actual a more complete truck than the pictures indicate, my suspicion was someone disassembled this thing and then either lost interest or got overwhelmed.

Re: 70 from Arkansas
I figured that was more of the case. Good on you for taking it on and bringing the truck back around

Re: 70 from Arkansas
Nice save! Have you started a build thread? It'd be great to follow along and see what you build. Welcome to the site.

Re: 70 from Arkansas
Thanks for the warm welcome! I have not started a build thread yet, I need to get one started though as things are fixing to hopefully ramp up on this truck in the coming weeks as I start working on the chassis/suspension.

Cool. It would be really interesting to watch the build process, because you got there just in time for that truck. Not too much longer before it would have been part of the hillside.
