Odd electrical challange
Noticed something odd with the horn about a year ago on my 71 GMC and never thought of it again. Well a few weeks ago I brought her out of winter slumber and saw my post it note on the bench and started checking. No horn and no hazards either odd. Checked and the turn signals work. Wondering it this is just most likely the horn and hazard relays craping out at the same time? Did check and no power to horns. this is a 4 speed column that has never been messed with. Just looking for an attack strategy to maximize the one day I will get to mess with it over the 4th holiday.

Here is a picture of the horn relay. Unplug yours and touch a short jumper between the red and green connectors in the plug. If the horn honks the problem is the relay or somewhere in the column or turn signal switch. The smaller black wire goes up the column to the horn contacts in the steering wheel. Let us know what you come up with on that. Also look through the electrical FAQ's sorted out by member VetteVet. Located here: http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/s...d.php?t=815300 LockDoc

Re: Odd electrical challange
Thanks for the head up on the location will give that a try first when I am back there after the 4th. Is there an easy test on the hazards as well?

Re: Odd electrical challange
How about checking the flasher. Not sure which one is the hazard unit. But they are cheap enough.
