Radiator ID Help

It appears this radiator is the original radiator for my 69 C10. The upper and lower retainers for it will not fit over the seam where the tanks connect to the fins(which I presume that where they go).

This radiator is 34" long, 18.5" tall and where the retainers should fit is 3.5" wide.
Can anyone identify what year model or what retainers I need to fit both the upper and lower.

OK, you have decimal points in the wrong place. Should be more like 34", 18.75" and 1.35", yes? I'm looking at a 2-row radiator, right? I'm not certain, but I don't recall the factory putting straps on the core. Can we see the base mounts and top clamps?

you are correct,the saddles the rad sits in on the bottom and and where they clamp the top,should go over the flange where the rad core meets the tanks.there should be a rubber insert in those saddles,not metal on metal.the new core i just soldered into my original tanks had straps on it for shipping holding cardboard,the marks still visible in the picture before paint but not factory.i'd have to go measure mine but your measurements sound about right,you may have a replacement aftermarket rad for a truck but i doubt that is a GM rad,certainly not with the tabs on there for the aluminum shroud?a GM rad wouldn't have that void along the top from the left to right side,or at least not on any rad i've seen?

The tabs for the shroud I welded them on there to mount the shroud to.
It good to know the strap was for holding cardboard (now I'll cut it off).

I tried spreading the bottom retainer to fit and that didn't work very well. So I trying to find some retainers that are roughly 3.5" wide on the inside.

Definitely an aftermarket 4 core brass radiator. That channel along the top is the big give away. I have one and used factory 4-core radiator mounts, but I had to trim the rubber way down to get the radiator to fit.

Where did you get your 4-core mounts from?

I got the goodmark ones from Rockauto. It appears they don't have them anymore. I'd feel safe getting those from just about anybody though. Classicparts.com or LMC should have them and get them to you fairly quick.

Those are for a 2.58" core, this one measures 3.25" wide where the tank and fins meet.
I have found several universal mounts, but would like to stay as close to original as possible.
