68 Mustang Tank in 63C10? Ohm Sending Unit Rating??

Anyone installed a 68 Mustang 18 gallon tank in bed of our trucks?
Then sending unit ohms reading for this tank is 75 ohms empty and 10 ohms full.
I have read that our gages are set up for 0 ohms empty-30 ohms full.

Can the sending unit in the 68 Mustang be modified somehow to work with our original gages?
Thanks in advance!

0-30ohm I bet you could make this work. https://www.tanksinc.com/index.cfm?p...d=62&mode=prod

That tank fits 60-62 frame but don't think the 63-66 would work. Try Tanks Inc for narrower tank. Check faq page.

Was hoping there would be a relatively cheap way to convert the sending unit to read 0-30 ohms for our trucks.
I'm thinking this might be the way to go. I seem to recall someone used one of these 50 chevy passenger car tanks that already comes with a 0-30 ohm sending unit. What d ya'll think???

Contact Vin63 here on the forum. He used to build custom fuel sending units. Maybe he still does.
Also a member lakeroadster installed a 50's Chevy Passenger car tank halfway down the page - https://talk.classicparts.com/thread...wb-step.13928/
You can get the tanks at http://www.tanksinc.com
Not sure if a Camaro tank would fit - http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/s...d.php?t=448386

I really liked Tanks Inc and they were helpful when I did my tank swap. Maybe they have a universal one that will fit your tank choice. They did for mine. I think it was the one that Rockinrod linked.

There is a company that repairs sending units, they might help - https://tristarrradiator.com/services/
