GMC in the snow.

Dug out the 70 camper to get ready for some work at the body shop soon. Couldn't help but take a few pics. Thought you all would enjoy.

Deer hunting is what I thought would follow. I guess you'd be behind schedule, though.

You found a real special piece in finding that Jimmy. A true living time capsule

Re: GMC in the snow.

When you live where it doesn't get very cold it makes you think you couldn't live where winter weather hits. I can relate. I feel that way every fall!

That Jimmy Camper is a poster child. Imagine it with the whole variety of outdoor environments in the background

Was bought in southern MN by a guy to go big game hunting in CO or WY, don't recall which. Supposedly the first jimmy sold in MN but no way to verify that. I have paperwork where he traded in his mustang on this.

Look close and you will see it is actually a jimmy and not a slide in camper at all.

Re: GMC in the snow.

Funny how the way you see things change as you get older. If I would have stumbled on to this when I was much younger I would have started off right away ... Where can I ditch this top and find a factory correct one?

Today's older and wiser (?) me would say, wow what a great truck I wouldn't change a thing.
