Re: Auto to manual conversion
I have a whole peddle bracket assembly for a manual truck, I'm on the east coast so I'm not sure if it's worth it to ship. But let me know and I can get pics and prices.

That would be great if you don't mind.
Thank you! Blake |

Re: Auto to manual conversion
Are you interested in shipping the whole set up, or just pieces? Both pedals pivot correctly

Re: Auto to manual conversion
I can't tell if I can bolt the clutch pedal, spring mount etc to my current automatic bracket or not?

Re: Auto to manual conversion
I have my auto cab at work. I'll take this out to it tomorrow when I'm back at the shop and compare & contrast the two. Units someone else knows

Re: Auto to manual conversion
Yup, looks like the upper mount spring hole is not there on the auto pedals.

Re: Auto to manual conversion
So I contacted Modern Drivelines https://www.moderndriveline.com/gm/vehicle-specific/
and they can provide a one stop solution EXCEPT the pedal to the firewall. It is a hydraulic solution eliminating most of the the mechanical linkage. If someone has a work around without having to change out the bulkhead (don't know what it's called) that would be appreciated. Thanks bike for helping me on this! |

Re: Auto to manual conversion
Silver Sport Transmissions has a clutch pedal they claim bolts up to the stock auto pedal box without having to remove. https://www.summitracing.com/parts/IST-PAG-01001A
I am going to the hydraulic master / slave deal since the all mechanical is so tough to find. Thank you biketopia for putting up my pms and indecision! Blake |

Re: Auto to manual conversion
Pulled the trigger on the Tremec TKX 5 speed kit with all the goodies.
It's supposed to arrive here end of next week. I'll start a new thread once I do the install. https://shiftsst.com/blog/post/c-series-67-72.html Last edited by MySons68C20; 01-27-2023 at 12:13 PM. Reason: missing info |

Re: Auto to manual conversion
[QUOTE=hewittca;9171960]I would definitely be interested in seeing how the install goes. I am currently swapping my truck from 3 on the tree to a 5 speed with a hydraulic clutch. You I had to fab up a plate and pushrod to work with my stock clutch pedal. I had no reference measurements, so I based positioning on how much clutch pedal travel I wanted. I have no idea yet what the pedal will feel like.[/QUOTE
Nice job on the plate! Your rod and master cylinder position is quite a bit higher than the SST stuff. There's more than one way to skin a cat! |

SST says their deal is 20% less effort than the stock mechanical linkage. Even if it's the same as the stock setup that's a win! Please update once you get there. |
