Posting Pictures
OK... I'm going to try and show you what you need to do.
You type this on the message screen. This is how it should look all together without any spaces at all. Because I added the spaces it's making it into a url code, I can't help that. I added the spaces so it would show you the way you type it, now this is how it really is. Hope this helps you out. If you have the pictures on your computer at home all you have to do is up load them. That is a different story, but I can help with it if you need help. LMK Andy

Pictures
If your pictures are on your computer, you need to hit the browse button. Then go to where the picture is and click on it. Then click on open and when you submit the post it will come up. It will show up in the browse window at the bottom of your post window.

Photo hosting
OK, step by step instructions. trying to be complete and not assume any level of knowledge.
First you need to know that the pics have to be on a computer that is always on so the pic can show up when someone reads the thread otherwise they will see a red x. The best way to do this is to have an account at an image hosting service. I personally use Photobucket, it's free and easy to use. Clicking on the ink below will take you to their website. http://www.photobucket.com Register a free account, it allows you to upload pictures to their server. To upload pics (after registering an account) you will click on the browse button (when you are logged into your photobucket account), and browse to your pic. By clicking on your pic you are selecting it, and then you can click upload. It is that easy. After you upload the pics you will have thumbnail pics with three links underneath each pic. Copy the bottom of the three links (highlight and right click, select copy) under your the picture you want to post and paste it in your post (right click in your post and select paste), the link will look something like this: "" Now please look at the link see the "quote marks"? I added these, otherwise it would have posted the pic below instead of the text. The link is telling the message board to show the picture, by modifying the link it displayed it as text instead of posting the pic. Do not add anything to the link, just paste it as is. If you change the link at all it will probably appear as text instead of the picture. Now with the above link posted without the "quote marks" the following picture appears: HTH MG Last edited by moneyguru; 01-10-2004 at 12:45 PM. |

There are two ways to get pictures in a message on this forum:
The first is actually uploading them to this baord by way of the "attach file" Feature found below the "your reply or message box". It allows you to browse your own computer for the file you want to include...this file is then stored on the server as part of the forum...this feature is NOT working it is broken for whatever reason. My guess is a database or space problem. The second way to include a picture is to use the "IMG" feature which is a button above the "your reply or message box". This allows you insert a website address of a picture where it is located....on the web....not on your computer. Then when the message is posted the software will pull the picture from the other location and have it included with your message. The second feature of posting pictures works if you have your pictures already on the web or hosted by a website or service provider. You may also have them hosted by several sites that are free as well. This seems to still work. Hope this helps.
