Upper ball joint question

On a 72 C10 1/2 ton, I know the lower ball joints are pressed in, but are the upper ball joints pressed in or just held in by the 4 screws on the top? Thanks.

Re: Upper ball joint question

Unless they've been changed before (which is very likely) it is riveted in. So all you have to do is support the lower A arm on a floor jack or jack stand and unbolt the ball joint from the spindle and remove the 4 bolts or rivets

Re: Upper ball joint question

Correct, rivets from factory and bolts for replacements
