VIN rivets

Trim tags not longer has rivets. Wes, or anyone else know of an internet vender with some of the rosette rivets. Thanks, Danny

That is the site I went to. They emailed me the following reply.

"WE can not sell those rivets any longer!!!!!"

get close to duplicating them by some creative Dremel toolling of regular rivets???

Ha, on there installation instructions for the rivets they recomend to epoxy them on.

I take my vin plates off carefully, I try to squish the rivet then try to push it out. Do you guys drill them out? I was thinking about buying some new rivet but since they say just to epoxy them on I think I will do that.

I heard that you have to have some special D.O.T. rivets for your VIN to have it legal? Anyone know more about this?

Dremel and a normal rivet......................you can make them in a couple of minutes. I don't like paying and waiting for something that I "could" make.

works good...............at least that's what I've heard.
