Crossville Tn show yesterday
Crossville Tn had a very nice show yesterday. Lots of nice vehicles and beautiful weather.
Many on this forum knew Jerry Brown, who had “The Truck Shop” here, so I was kinda hoping there would be a tribute to him, but there wasn’t. One thing that stood out for me was that there were NO 67-72 trucks. This observation, along with the asking prices of trucks and parts, have me wondering if the popularity of our trucks is starting to wane. Not that it’ll affect my love for them, but it will make them more affordable again Last edited by custom10nut; 10-29-2023 at 09:59 AM. |

Re: Crossville Tn show yesterday
It is pretty unfortunate that someone in Jerry's home town didn't formally remember him and his legacy to the hobby at large.
As for the waning of '67-'72 trucks/Blazers. What you experienced is a very small sample of the hobby. I don't see much of that at the moment. It will eventually occur. A majority of today's young people don't give a hoot about any vintage vehicles. One reason is that they are prohibitively expensive, even for six cylinder long boxes!

Re: Crossville Tn show yesterday
These trucks are getting over the top on pricing. Not everyone can go out and but these trucks at the prices the sell for. No waning in popularity but they are moving into the hands of people making more money who may not come out to local shows
