New guy from Perkasie,Pa
I have been a member for a while but this is my first post. I知 an old hot rodder who loves cars, trucks and motorcycles. I have a 69 c10 short stepside. 350 from a 72 Camaro with a 700r4 I bought it about five years ago. It had a fresh paint job but mechanically was in sad shape. Spent the last few years working on it. I have learned a heck of a lot about these trucks from this site.

Re: New guy from Perkasie,Pa
Clean machine!
Thanks for keeping the headlight doors the proper black instead of the '71-'72 aluminum doors.

Re: New guy from Perkasie,Pa
I致 learned a lot about what is right and wrong for different years from all of the people on this site. When I first bought it it was a mess. Blown head gasket. Bad radiator. A worn out carb. A bad tranny. But the body was solid and the price was right and I like to tinker.

Welcome!
Really nice truck! When I was a kid, my uncle had that same truck, stance, wheels, etc.. But it was a custom metallic forest green. Always liked liked the steppers.

Re: New guy from Perkasie,Pa
Welcome from Maryland! We had a member here with a red '69 Stepside with red wheels and dog dish caps I swear could be the same truck, as I remember his truck. A very nice look! So many get stuck at the make it pretty (body & paint) stage which made the patina look popular. You got the opposite. All you need to do is bring it up to the standard, mechanically, that it appears to be by it's looks. Have fun with it.
Many have problems with pictures here. The sideways thing seems random. as far as posting multiple pictures in one post goes, we are allowed to post up to 5. BUT... can't do all at once. You must upload each picture individually, then submit

Re: New guy from Perkasie,Pa
nice truck and welcome, i have never figured out the picture thing and now i'm too damn old. we sent a couple of square body 4x4s to a buddy of my dad's that lives in Home, PA. a couple years ago, he took the 2 trucks and built one beautiful short fleet 4x4, not sure what he's doing with the rest of the parts. he was surprised that the frames and body panels weren't rotted when they arrived. now the short fleet lives in a climate controlled garage during the winter and he drives his rotted out 2007 silverado.
