Hey new here but thought I would say hello with a question?
Hey whats again good to be here,,I was reccomended by chevytalk.org pretty cool site as well anyway I will ask my question does anyone have a diagram for hoses and wiring for my 81 chevy truck 4x4 I am just trying to figure out where all those wires go if anywhere since I am doing away with almost all of the emmision stuff thanks Kevin and once again nice to be here!!!

81 Chevy eh? Got any pictures of your engine? Also, what kind of emission components do you have?

Isnt there a vaccuum diagram on the radiator support on your truck? That would be a good place to start, I dont know on the wiring but would an engine compartment harness from an older truck work?...corn

Good thinking corn!
There is usually a sticker on the radiator support and / or the air cleaner -- check them, and they should be able to help you out

yes a haynes repair manul has wiring diagrams in it. i have used them many times... the 81 should have a cat.. the valve on the passenger side exhaust manifold, and about 2 dozen worthless vac hoses.

http://www.chevyduty.com/frame-store.html might help you out some. I think the part number for the 81 wiring harness diagram book is 52-993j
