60-62 V8 throttle linkage

Im in the middle of a V8 swap. What can I use for the throttle linkage? I still want to use the original pedal assembly but the adjustment rod on the end is to short. I found a 63-66 throttle pivot not sure it will work with the 60-62. Any advice would be helpful.

Re: 60-62 V8 throttle linkage

When I swapped in a carbureted V8, I found the V8 throttle linkage rod, but went to the 71-72 cable throttle & pedal because of concerns with proximity to distributor wires. The cable setup is much smoother and no moving parts next to distributor. Had to change the pedal, but not really concerned since it works so well. Cable can be found by doing a little research on lengths or just cutting the housing and crimping an end on. Good luck!

As long as it's for a V/8 I would try it. I like the stock set-up as long as the rod holes aren't wollowed out, they work well. Probably a few more availble these days with all the LS motors going in.

I put a 1978 sbc into my 1961. I got a linkage at Summit Racing. Part # AMD-W-636B. If i remember correctly, the packaging said it was for a 60-62.
