Can someone help me make sense of this Vortec setup
So I got a truck with an ATK 96-99 Vortec (L31?) crate motor in it. The previous owner had switched it over to the original v-belt setup from the OEM 350 and I am now wanting to swap it back over to the serpentine setup but I am lost on which water pump. The truck has an Edelbrock Vortec intake on it with the threaded bypass hole below the thermostat. I have googled like mad but not getting a concrete answer.
I got the brackets, Alternator, power steering pump, crank pulley from a Vortec 350 and got them all cleaned up and ready to install. I also bought a 90-92 Camaro reverse rotation long water pump thinking it would work. Do I need to thread and plug the bypass inlet on the camaro water pump or just leave everything as-is and just run the bypass hose from the Edelbrock intake to the threaded hole on the top of the water pump? Also, assuming I can use the camaro pump, I cannot use the water pump pulley from the Vortec as it is threaded for the clutch fan and will not bolt to the Camaro water pump. Does anyone know if I can use the 90-92 Camaro smooth reverse flow water pump pulley on this setup and the diameter will be correct and work?

I don't think there was any difference in the reverse rotation pumps for the serp set-up. A good parts BOOK or even some thorough research on rock auto will give you an idea when you come up with the same part numbers
