Dust cover for flywheel/clutch assembly

Greetings from a new member!
I am restoring a '67 GMC C1500 305E V6. The original engine was toast, so I bought a donor '68 GMC 3/4-ton for it's 305 V6 and the Muncie SM465 4-speed transmission. I am missing the bottom dust cover for the flywheel/clutch assembly on the bell housing. Does anyone have one sitting around?...or leads on where I could find one? See photo link below:

Thanks,
Tom

Re: Dust cover for flywheel/clutch assembly

Hello Tom, welcome aboard and congrats on breaking thru the new membership firewall . I am away from all of our old GM parts manuals untill Monday 11/11 and am 99% sure that the manual trans 305/351 V-6's had a different style bell housing and flywheel cover setup. In case you know otherwise or can confirm visually, we have the pictured manual trans V-8/I-6 style upper and lower two piece GM NOS flywheel inspection underpan-extension cover plate setups available in the below linked parts board f/s thread. Have a look if interested, Mel

Thanks Mel,
If not mistaken, the cover is a one-piece design. The model you sent with photos doesn't like like a fit.

This is completely off-topic, but what is the story behind the $100 bill tucked into the side trim in your photo album?

Re: Dust cover for flywheel/clutch assembly

The mysterious $100 bill! My daughter's father-in-law has been helping me bring this truck back to life. His shop and experience has made this happen and I'm forever grateful! We're pulling little pranks on each other and this is a fake $100 bill! Good catch on the photo as I forgot about the bill under the trim.
He has a real love of KitKat bars, so I've hidden them in numerous places on the truck. His wife is always watching what he eats and I'm his codependent chocolate lover. He always places the used wrappers in the glove box so she doesn't see them in his shop waste basket. I could easily go into his love of ice cream and how I help him meet that need. In short, it's hard to hide ice cream on the truck as it could melt before he would find his surprise.
This restoration has been very trying and frustrating. Adding humor and an occasional hidden candy bar has kept us smiling. The occasional "throwing one another under the bus" has created some fun memories too!
Thanks for asking! A fake $100 keeps me going!
