Question Try find GM build information

I have a 72 Fleetside SWB 4x4. Th sticker on the glove box is not the correct one. I want to restore the truck back to as original as possible.
Does anyone know how to take the VIN and find build sheet information. I've done this for a corvette but have no resources for a truck.
I'm trying to coonfirm the color both inside and outside and any options it may have been ordered with.

Thanks in advance for your help!

Check under and behind your seat for the build sheet, chances are its not there but its worth a shot.

I have checked the insyde of the truck and have found nothing. I Can tell the truck has been apart and painted completely so the documentation was probably removed in the past
