Re: 1958-1959 Fleetside box

I'm not having any luck finding those by themselves.

If a part is available at all from the aftermarket The Filling station often lists it even though they may have to order it in to fill your order but they don't show it nor does Classic Heartbeat who shows a ton of sheetmetal for TF trucks. Nothing at NPD either.

48 Chev 3100 that will run a 292 Six.
71 GMC 2500 that is getting a Cad 500 transplant.
77 C 30 dualie, 454, 4 speed with a 10 foot flatbed and hoist. It does the heavy work and hauls the projects around.

Re: 1958-1959 Fleetside box

I have noticed that the 58-59 trucks don't get a lot of parts support at those places. Not much love and those places seem to skip those years and head straight to providing a lot of help to the C-10 models. To find the front end chrome on my '59, eBay was my only source.

Re: 1958-1959 Fleetside box

Suppliers produce what they figure that they can sell enough of to justify the investment in producing them. Some bed parts are getting scarce because Mar-K was the only one in the industry that made them and there have to be some serious issues going on as to why no one has stepped in and bought the company or at least it's equipment and intellectual property. They supplied some of the long bed pieces that everyone was selling.

Re: 1958-1959 Fleetside box

If you get lucky you might try these guys. Rumor has it they bought Mar K stuff something plans equipment not sure. You might want to reach out to them directly may be pricey but maybe they will make it.

Mack Hils Metal Fabrication, parent company of Mack Products, has acquired Mar-K.

they have a company or two under Mack Hils but the one you may want to reach out to is

Re: 1958-1959 Fleetside box

Mack products sounds like a very good buyer for Mar-K https://mack-products.com/

The parent company is a solid operation that started from a guys personal need for parts and grew from there. https://mackhilsmetalfabrication.com/

Maybe we will start to see some Chevy-GMC bed parts in the next few months.
