Interesting time back in............

Well last week I got back to NC from a 3 week trip back to the parents house in nebraska. While I was there, there were some cool things going down. First of all is one of my buddies got a 1972 Chevy LWB 4X4 for nothing. It has a 350 hp, 350 and then a 4 speed transmission. For tires its got like 33 inch super swamper which are just about as tough looking as they come on some chrome rims. Body is straight and narrow for the most part with a couple small dings here and there. Coolest thing is he didn't pay a fricking dime for it. He had a 66 charger with a 383 magnum in it that he traded. The charger was a hurting unit. so my buddy put about 10 hrs of sanding and body work into it and then painted it a metallic black color. Looks pretty good considering he wasn't going for no show truck but just getting it all the same color. Then another buddy of mine found 2 1972 chevy blazers that were 4x4 and the guy only wanted 100 bucks for the the 2 of em. WEll my leave ended earlier than i wanted too so i couldn't get in on that I was gonna take the fuel cell out and put it underneath my 71. Last but not least I think I found my project vehicle for when i move in May. It's a 1961 Chevy 1/2 panel truck. I looked it over and the straight 6 under the hood burns oil i guess and thats why they quit driving it. Otherwise the boxfloor and metal out back is good. It needs new front fenders which shouldn't be a problem and the DS rear quarter needs some patchup work at the bottom of it. Otherwise just a few small holes up by the DS seat. She's all there and it'll probably be mine for the taking. only 2 seats and all that room in the back it's gonna be a pimpmobile for sure. I just don't know how I"m gonna update the frontend definitely. I'm sure I'm gonna have to update someother areas as well but I'll find that out later. my dad said my uncle bought it new in 62 and then he bought it from him in like 71. Been sitting since86 in a fairly well covered up area so not much rust. Man i can't WAIT!!!!
