Angry K-2500 Broken Springs, 1 ton swap?

Just bought a '88 K-2500(6 lug) Truck is pretty beat up and has been worked hard. The drivers side rear spring pack has two broken springs, just after the axle. I'm going trough the truck, and thought as long as I have it apart, I'd like to beef up the suspension a bit for our camper. Will 1 ton springs from this style truck fit. A local scrap yard has a complete set from a '89 K-3500 for $150, is this a good price? They dont have shackles. Any other reccomendations?
Thanks for any info.
P.S. What is a good shock for stabling out heavy loads, towing. Friend of mine says Bilstien?
