Ot , Anyone Really Looked Over The New Ss's ?
hey guys i was just wondering if anyone has really looked over the new chevy ss trucks latley , me and my brother had one up on the alighnment rack the other day putting a new flowmaster exhaust on it for him and i was shocked , i just noticed a few things , that on another truck i wouldnt mind , but with the price tags these trucks carry this is unacceptable, i noticed at the bottom of the door it looks like an ocean where the skin attatches to the door frame , and the waves ran 6-8 inches up the door in between spot welds it looked like , i mean it really looked like total crap , and also it has all this junk plastic around the front , and if you get down and look , concealed behind the plastic about 8 inches up on the frame is a set of tow hooks with absolutley no wauy inhell to hook anything up to them , i mean whos gonna pay that much and go pulling anything anyways , why even put them on there ? , i dunno , looks like chevy really needs someone to pull theyre heads outta theyre a$$'s ,. glad they turned out some good trucks back then so we still got somethin from em

Iwas always scepticle about the way the rockers are put onto these trucks, I looked at the way they are on my dads 2000 Silverado, and they are already full of sand and junk, these trucks are gonna be bad rotters

Yeah...new trucks rot quick. 88-98's seem to be rusting out bad around here...just as bad if not worse than the 73-87 trucks.
Some have more rust than my '72 already. Other than that...i do like the way they look, and would love to have one, but not at $40K+. That is almost Corvette category in price.

I guess I'm old school or something but I just don't value my car to pay $40K for anything. Once a car starts past the $20K pricetag I'm just not interested anymore. What do I do with a car? I drive it to and from where I'm going. If I were like a real estate salesman constantly shuttling customers around, or something like that, I'd maybe see 35/40K for a car, but I don't think my 3 year old cares as long as his car seat is comfy and he can listen to the Shrek soundtrack whether dad's car is a 40K monster or a good basic model. If I were working a farm I might understand 40K for a truck.
