Steering Shaft.

Anyone make an affordable shaft for lifted trucks? Mine doesn't look the best and has some slop in it. I saw some in summit but nothing for a 72.

You talking about the shaft between the column and the steering box? Going to cost you about $110. These are Coleman u-joints and a shaft I got from a racing shop. Cut the shaft to length and welded them together.
Coleman has a website too. Been awhile since Ive been on their site. Do search for Coleman Racing Products.

I had 2 ujoints in mine at first but over time it started binding. Removed one and have had no problems since.

So far, so good with mine. Two inch body lift. How much body lift do you have on your truck Mudder67? I'm sure that would affect it.

That's what i'm looking for. Does anyone make a direct fit?

I E-mailed Borgeson Corp. and here is the response.

We start with the '73 model year, but we can probably make a shaft that will work. Our typical truck assembly is a telescoping shaft with a needle bearing u-joint at each end, so we'd need to know the spline size at the steering column and steering box, and the approximate overall length. Cost would be $236.00, or $266.00 if you want to include a vibration reducer. Give us a call if you'd like to discuss this.
