air filter for 6 cyl ?
I finally got the disc brake change over done on my 3/4 ton ,now that I have a power brake booster the old stock air cleaner wont fit,the truck has a 292 6 cyl.I know there are factory air cleaner assemblys for trucks with power steering but I dont think I will find one and if I did it would be expensive.
The only air cleaners I have seen in the parts stores that would work were very small, about 4" across,I would like something bigger. I will check the K&N website to see if they offer any custom air cleaners for 1barrel carbs. anybody got any pics of what they are using??? Thanks Bob

If you can find it, they make a stock filter assembly that extends the air filter over to the passenger side of the block to clear the booster. Off the top of my head that is the only one I can think of short of those itty bitty aftermarket ones.

the brake booster 6 cyl air cleaners aren't that expensive, but they are hard to find. i found one a few weeks back for $30 on eBay, and I don't believe anyone bid on it. I would check there.

I'm using-
What I am going to use is an offset base K&N filter ('round $60) oblong air cleaner. Find it in the back of K&N catalog.
might need an adapter. warrens69gmc |

Do you want a GM or aftermarket? I've got an original off a '68 250 that I think would work, but it won't be like yours or Gee-emm's
